Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
It was an interesting lunch yesterday as we celebrated the birthdays of two of the staff, Vera and Vicki.
We always do this at Casa Ole’, a local Mexican restaurant.
I’m the quiet type, at least when it comes to eating.
I’ll sit, eat, and listen to everyone else.
Would you like to know what the subject of the conversation was while we were eating?
It was about eating!
I couldn’t believe it. Here we are eating some delicious Mexican food and just about everyone is talking about eating other things.
I’m reminded of another conversation that took place years ago, this one between our Lord and two Old Testament greats.
Behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Matt 17:3
I wish I knew what the subject was.
Could He have been telling them that the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah) was being fulfilled?
Perhaps it was to show the disciples that those that are dead (Moses) and those that are alive (Elijah) look the same in the Kingdom?
I may never know what the subject was about but knowing Jesus, Moses, and Elijah, it had to be about God.
