No Hype With God

HDTV isn’t all that it hyped up to be, at least for terrestrial TV stations.
Sure, it has a great picture, when you have a picture.
I remember the days of a tall antenna pole where you turned it, pointing it here and there with a wrench.
Someone inside the house would shout, “A little more! Stop! Go back…just a bit…WHOA! That’s it.”
Even in the worst weather you could still watch a picture through the snow.
But digital TV has taken away all of that.
Once you have the antenna pointing at the station, you don’t dare move it.
There is no snow; you have a picture or you don’t.
And a heavy rain can make it wash away, right when you want to see the weather statement the most.
My father-in-law is having just such a problem.
There are too many tall pines and hills in East Texas for HDTV to have ever been a good idea.
I ordered him a $100 antenna only to have it do nothing.
Now I have to send it back and try another type.
I may never find anything that works; that is, for the TV.
I have found that my communication link with God works just fine.
Rain doesn’t wash it out, pine trees make no difference, and I don’t need an antenna.
God hears me just fine.
God has said, “Call to Me, and I will answer you.” (Jer 33:3) and “They will call on My name and I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; And each one will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’” Zech 13:9
Our technology isn’t all that it’s hyped up to be; but there is no hype with God.
God is Who you call on and God is Who you get!
