Your Testimony Overcomes Satan

Something else happened at church camp that was really awesome.
Last year, several of the ‘kids’ gave their testimonies; my Courtney and JC were 2 of them.
Night one – no testimonies.
Night two – no testimonies.
Then on day 3, Courtney told us she was 1 year old.
After years of thinking she had Jesus as her Savior, she had accepted the Lord exactly 1 year ago.
I asked her could she maybe bring a testimony and tell everyone what had happened.
We talked with President Billy Rex about it and it was all set up.
I have never seen such a nervous person in my life.
She dictated what she wanted to say and it was written down.
I read it and thought it was really good.
At time drew nearer for her to get in front of 200 kids, Courtney was to the point of throwing up! (Seriously)
During the prayer time before the service I had her and several of our young people go to “the alter” and all of us prayed over and for Court.
I pointed out scripture like, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7
When it came time, her name was called out and down front she went; followed by about 6 of us.
We, the 6, sat on “the alter” steps around her for moral support.
Court delivered one of the best testimonies I’ve heard…not one word of it was on that paper she had written.
She told about thinking she was saved since age 7 or 8 and being scared a year ago about not knowing Jesus as Savior.
She talked with her mom, prayed to her God, and has had one of the best years ever.
In devotion time, Courtney found out that her testimony is a powerful instrument in her Christian tool bag.
It is written and they (Gods people) overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Rev 12:11
Can you do what my 14-year old did?
Can you overcome Satan by the word of your testimony?

  1. Isn’t is wonderful that our Father God is true to His Word. Years ago a woman who had been in some scary stuff wanted to be baptized. At the last minute she became so scared she would not go through with it. I explained if she was truely Christs she needed to understand that He does not give us the spirit of fear. I showed her the scripture. That spirit felt her just like that! She was baptized in to Christ.
