Age To Perfection

Then Moses and Aaron did so; just as the LORD commanded them, so they did. And Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh. Ex 7:6-7
I recently saw where a preacher was retiring and I’m not sure how to feel about that.
Sure I understand the reason behind it but retiring from the ministry is not like retiring from a bank.
Bank tellers aren’t “called” but ministers are.
Both Moses and Aaron had lived a pretty lengthy life but really didn’t get started until their 80’s.
I find encouragement in knowing that God can use you at any age.
It was Jeremiah that told God, “Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” Jer 1:6
Though many have tried to play the age-card, God puts no restriction or age limit.
David was told by King Saul, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.” 1 Sam 17:33
You’re never too young or old to be involved with ministry.
In fact, you’re just at the right age!

  1. I knew a man in Nac. As an older fellow he met Jesus , and became a new creature. Oh, how he loved the Lord. The man came down with cancer. It eat on him for longer than the doctors said it could. Through all that time and pain and treatments the man never gave up ministering the love of Christ. I was very much aware of the presence of God with him. The man went to be with Jesus about 4 months ago.
