The Colors

I searched the Bible trying to find some reference to fall colors but found none.
Surely if any writer of the Bible had witnessed the change of autumn they would have written about it.
I know there are places in the U. S. that are more vibrant and abundant in color than what I have in East Texas; New England, Colorado, Utah, just to name a few.
However the foliage has absolutely been breathtaking this year around my home.
But God’s word is silent on this subject.
It mentions leaves withering and becoming green in spring but nothing about autumn foliage.
I found this from a blogger in Israel: we do not have flaming fall colors here in Israel. Our autumn cannot be compared to the trees and forests in Europe or in America. What I saw in New England, Maine and Utah can scarcely be topped.
The Bible does mention some fantastic color changes in a new city that God creates; The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. Rev 21:18-21
Just as an Israelite cannot imagine the indescribable beauty of autumn in East Texas or New England, I cannot imagine the beauty of the new city Jerusalem.

  1. Fall means a rough winter is ahead, to be truthful I dont care for fall..Spring means hope for me of new beginnings and new foliage..We should be thankful for the season we are in and I Love to celebrate the Birthday of Jesus’. When I think of where the place the bible was written in..I dont think of their being a fall there..they dont have real distinct season changes like we do..When I think of what heaven will be like–I think of Spring!
