Do your part and I’ll do mine!

As I see it, our nation is in dire need of repentance with it’s open hostility toward God and immoral allowances that manifest in the government making poor decisions that lead America in a decline.
You can see this in the national debt, unemployment, and products.
Let me be clear that this fault does not lie solely on the present Administration but has been in decline for several years.
I believe the problem is in people; there is too much hope place in economics and not enough faith placed in God.
Israel also placed their hope in the wrong place.
During the days of King Zedekiah, it is written that neither King Zedekiah nor his officials nor the people who were left in the land listened to what the LORD said through Jeremiah. Jer 37:2
Though they asked Jeremiah, “Please pray to the LORD our God for us”(Jer 37:3), they had an agreement with the Egyptian army to come fight with them against the Babylonians.
The Babylonian army heard of the Egyptian army heading their direction so they withdrew from Jerusalem.
I know the king and people had to rejoice at this, thinking that the hostile army would be defeated.
Then the LORD gave this message to Jeremiah: “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to ask me what is going to happen, that Pharaoh’s army is about to return to Egypt, though he came here to help you. Then the Babylonians will come back and capture this city and burn it to the ground. The LORD says: Do not fool yourselves that the Babylonians are gone for good. They aren’t! 10 Even if you were to destroy the entire Babylonian army, leaving only a handful of wounded survivors, they would still stagger from their tents and burn this city to the ground!” Jer 37:6-10 NLT
Their hope in others was futile; their hope, like ours, should be entirely on the Lord God.
Some nations boast of their armies and weapons, but we boast in the LORD our God. Those nations will fall down and collapse, but we will rise up and stand firm. Ps 20:7-8 NLT
This is not a national problem a personal one; it is not about the repentance of a nation, it is about the repentance of individuals like you and me.
It is about each of us asking God for forgiveness and turning away from sin and seeking Him with a whole heart.
What would happen if every individual in America did this?
The nation would bless itself; “If you will return, O Israel,” says the LORD, “Return to Me; and if you will put away your abominations out of My sight, then you shall not be moved. And you shall swear, ‘The LORD lives,’ in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; the nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him they shall glory.” Jer 4:1-2
Do your part and I will do mine!
Let’s return to the Lord!

  1. Yes we should be liveing lives of repentance, and personal sacrifice. We are liveing in those days the prophets wanted to see. The last days. We only need to read the book of Revealation to know whats going on. The Lord Jesus will be here soon to take His followers home with Him. Still we need to be praying. Personaly, I think there are many that will recieve Christ before He returns. Some of those are my family members!
