Memorable Scripture: Continuing to follow

Matthew 4:25
Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

Jesus began teaching, preaching, and healing. It wasn’t long before He had a following of people. Most came, not because of the teaching and preaching. It is written they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.
They treated Jesus more like a doctor than a Messiah or Savior.
Plus, He became an object of curiosity. Many came just to see the healings.
Why do you follow Jesus?
Certainly, I follow Him because of salvation. But my salvation took place over 44 years ago.
I got my salvation! Why would I continue to follow Jesus?
I sum up my answer by something Peter says.

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” John 6:66-69
