Memorable Scripture: Assume a blessing.

Acts 28:3-5
But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.” But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.

There is so much to say about this scripture but I’m going to focus on one; and that is about what assumptions.
When the snake bit Paul, the natives assumed he was a murderer getting what he deserved.
They waited for him to die.
Now, I’m just as bad as most with speaking pessimism, gloom, and doom.
We often assume the worse instead of praying for the best.
I said something negative yesterday and my wife reminded me with her famous words, “are you speaking that?”
We all need to assume the best.
Pray for one another.
Speak blessings over one another.
Bless and not curse.
If you’re going to assume, then assume a blessing.
