Good Morning!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Ps 148:3
What a spectacular show our Father put on last night.
For weeks now, Venus and Jupiter have been getting closer and closer.
The crescent moon joined in to form a trio of heavenly bodies that show the glory of the Lord.
I know many will read lots of things into this astronomical display.
They may predict doom and gloom or peace and prosperity.
Some may believe that this is a sign to find that perfect someone, get married, or have children.
Me… I just thought it was pretty and I see the hand of God in all things.
Sure, we’ve advanced to the point that we knew this was going to happen.
We can predict the coming of a comet or the next several eclipses.
Like Jesus said, “You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” Matt 16:3
With certainty the day is coming, as the Bible predicts, when the sun will become darkness, the moon will become blood, and the stars will fall from the heavens.
And there will still be those that will not bow down to the King of Glory and honor Him.
Give Him praise for what He has done.
It is written that the sun, moon, and stars do and here in December, that’s the real Christmas lights!

  1. We have been looking at these three beautiful planets for several Days now, even one of our neighbors called last night to ask if we had seen this Display.I guess you can call the moon a planet. I had to break out my Old Farmers Almanac to see which objects they are. They really do show the glory of God..which is available to all!

  2. Seeing Jupiter and Venus, along with the moon, was absolutely beautiful. Several nights ago, it was very cold outside, but it was worth being out in the cold to see how brilliant all the stars were. Since we’ve lived in this area, I’ve seen more meteors falling than the previous 50 years of my life. Signs in the Heavens! It just puts me in awe of God to know that He’s named each star and has put each one where He wanted it in the sky. How awesome is that? Great pics, too:)
