Another place we visited was Caney Creek Park on Lake Sam Rayburn.

In 1898 Hal Aldridge sold his sawmill property at Rockland, Texas, and he built his new mill 11 miles to the east in extreme northwest Jasper County, on the banks of Neches River, where he controlled 300,000,000 feet of standing timber. There will always been those that would pervert the Gospel. There are the blatant perversions, like this story from Worldnetdaily.com.

Iran’s Basij Press is claiming a purported Gospel of Barnabas, discovered in 2000, will prove that Islam is the final and righteous religion, causing the collapse worldwide of Christianity. Continue reading

It’s an oxymoron

I read where a San Francisco city official consulted a Ouija board before city leaders voted to recommend naming a Navy ship after slain gay rights activist, Harvey Milk.
The city official said he believes he made contact with Milk’s spirit and that Milk spelled out letters indicating: “Good riddance to don’t ask, don’t tell.” Continue reading

The Finale

It is finale week!
Last Tuesday was the season finale of NCIS; last night was the finale of Dancing with the Stars, and tonight is the finale of American Idol.
The only thing is it’s not really over. Next season there will be another NCIS, another American Idol, and another ballroom champion! Continue reading
