…and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail. Heb 9:3-5
Last Friday, a patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia said that he would announce to the world the unveiling of the Ark, which he says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia. Continue reading

Dallas World Aquarium
Over the weekend, Linda, the grandkids and I went to Dallas.
One of our stops was the Dallas World Aquarium, which is a truly amazing place. (And I don’t say that about a lot of places) Continue reading
They's Just Folks
He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead. Acts 17:31
And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, Heb 9:27
You’ve probably heard the news that both Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson both died yesterday.
Looking at the online articles this morning, I see no word on Farrah; Michael’s death dominates the headlines.
A Horse's Rear
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Ps 20:7
The US standard railroad gauge, the distance between the rails, is 4 feet, 8.5 inches.
That’s an exceedingly odd number.

Building It Up!
The Battle Within Our Borders
Jesus sat down with the disciples one evening and they asked Him a few questions about the signs of His return and the end of the age.

A Cool Little Thing That God Did
What happens when you become faithful to God in a few things?
Jesus says, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.” Matt 25:21
Last nights church discussion turned political, in a sense, as we talked about the hate crimes legislations sitting before the US Senate right now.
At church was one of our young men that has started coming regularly and consistently. Continue reading
He Knows What We Need
God was with us yesterday, of course, He always is.
Four of us drove almost 4 hours to Fort Worth to look at Federal Surplus generators for the radio station.
We took a certified diesel mechanic with us to help determine the quality and condition of the engines.
We found 3 with low hours and would meet our needs. Continue reading
