If I say to someone that what they are doing is sin, isn’t that a judgment on my part?
If I tell someone they need Jesus as Savior then I have judged them.
However, the more I judge myself, the less judgment I pass on others but rather more encouragement. Continue reading

Judgment Begins
Where does judgment begin?
The word of God tells us; for the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17 Continue reading
Judge Not!
Judge not… Matt 7:1
How many times has that verse been quoted to you, even by non-Christians.
Tell someone they’re doing wrong and “Judge not!”
But is “Judge not” the whole truth or have we been duped into believing “Judge not”? Continue reading
May I Quote You?
I like quotes!
I like to read what others have said that’s of significance; it doesn’t matter if it’s Christian or of a secular nature.
Some of my favorites include Will Rogers.
He was a political satirist in the 1920’s.
Some of his best remarks are: A fool and his money are soon elected. Continue reading
Better Things To Do With Your Tongue
Okay, I just have to make a comment about it!
When I was growing up I could easily get in trouble with mom by sticking out my tongue.
I was told it was nasty, it was ugly, and it was rude.
I was also told to keep it in my mouth. Continue reading
Will Your Distraction Lead To Death?
Yesterday’s Morning Thought was about distraction.
Continuing with that theme, a local news story reports that a 20-year old man has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Authorities report that he was texting and driving when his vehicle slammed into a stalled 18-wheeler. Continue reading
U R DISTRACTED
The news stories increase every day about distracted driving.
I will admit that I have talked on the phone while driving and even done some texting, a very dangerous thing to do.
It’s more dangerous for East Texans than anyone else. Continue reading
We Sin Because We Covet
For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world. 1 John 2:16
It was the downfall of man; the same problem that has been plaguing us since Eden.
When tempted with that which was forbidden, Continue reading
Have You Read The Red?
Beware of saying, “I haven’t time to read the Bible, or to pray”; say rather, “I haven’t disciplined myself to do these things.” ~OSWALD CHAMBERS
I had a Christian tell me one time that they had never read the Bible.
As a pastor, I actually enjoy having God’s word open up and enlighten me on aspects of my life and ministry.
I know how much discipline it takes to read the Bible. Continue reading
No Room In Church For Racism
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:27-28
My heart was broken the other evening when I heard a racist remark was made in a church.
I don’t know who made the remark and I don’t care to.
I do know to whom it was made and that’s what made me so sad. Continue reading
