Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I thought I’d talk about gifts.
February 14th has fond memories for me.
As I was growing up I remember getting those little “Be Mine” cards in grade school.
Of course many of them were duplicated from classmate to classmate as it seems everyone’s mom bought the deluxe Valentine pack just for the occasion.
Then there was the one mom that went above and beyond and brought cupcakes for everyone. Yum!
I like Valentine’s Day but really fail to go all out with my wife and children.
Perhaps I take them out to eat or buy a bouquet or box of chocolates.
Consider how God went the extra mile to give us a gift.
Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”  Eph 4:8
What are these gifts He gives to men?
That’s exactly what I want to try and answer over the next several days.
