Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim |

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. |

Getting someone a gift can really be taxing on the giver.
There are for sure certain gifts that you DO NOT want to give.
Guys should never give her a thigh-master or a diet book.
I’m not sure if he really wants another bottle of cologne.
What you give should essentially be wrapped around the needs and personality of the one your giving it to.
In the case of my wife, she doesn’t want diamonds or pearls.
She happy with a weekend trip away from it all and some geocaching with just the two of us.
That seems to satisfy me too.
You can always surprise someone with a gift but sometimes it’s the wrong gift and not exactly the surprise they were wanting.
If all else fails, just ask, “What do you want for Valentine’s?”
And if they fail to ask then tell them, “Do you know what I want for Valentine’s? How about…”
There is one gift that can never go wrong.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8
Salvation is the ultimate gift from God and it will suit your needs every time.
It can’t be lost or stolen like diamonds and pearls.
It won’t be used up like another bottle of cologne.
And the best part is it’s free!
After all, it is a gift!

When asked what we want for our annaversery, I replied, a picnic. A family day. I used to think my mother-in-law was clingie. I now understand. A day with family all together is a wonderful day and PRICELESS. Such is as rare as a dimond. Oh how marvesalis it will be when we all get to Heaven!
