My sister-in-law asked me if I found Haylee’s red donkey.

I must confess that I did.

This is what spurred me to yesterday’s MT about the talking donkey.

She made one in Sunday School on a little Popsicle stick and it’s lying here on the desk.

The scripture is pasted to the back.

It’s good to be reminded of the things of God by what is around you.

Now look around you. Is there anything that can remind you about God?

Perhaps a cup would bring to remembrance the cup they all drank from at the Last Supper.

Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. Matt 26:27

Maybe there is a sparrow outside your window and it reminds you of this: Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. Matt 10:29

You may get upset at your money situation today and the cost of things.

No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Luke 16:13 NLT

Or there may be a donkey-on-a-stick on your desk.

It could remind you of Balaam’s story or Jesus; All the people of Israel, ‘Look, your King is coming to you. He is humble, riding on a donkey —  even on a donkey’s colt.’ ” Matt 21:5 NLT

Take the opportunity to see God’s word in all you do and see today.
