I continue today by searching for the sins of Jesus in His public life.
Is there some hidden place in the scripture that indicates a more carnal side to the Man we call Lord and Savior.
Let’s find out.
At 12 years old Jesus wandered off from the family trip to Passover.
Instead of being found robbing a liquor store or spraying graffiti, He was in the temple talking to the old rabbi guys about God.
When His parents found Him, He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.
Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. Luke 2:49-52
Doesn’t seem to be any sin there!
How about years later?
He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him. Mark 1:34
There doesn’t seem to be any sin in that, in fact it seems He resisted doing evil things.
Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'” Matt 4:10
After a thorough search of the scripture, I did not find any sin in the public life of Jesus.
That will only leave one other place to search.
CONTINUED TOMORROW
Didn’t Jesus say He did only what the Father did, said only what the Father said! Jesus gave up everthing to become a man, how did He know what the Father did? Could He see, as a man, into the spirit realm? Jesus did say, greater and mightier thing will ye do. So, if Jesus could see what the Father was doing shouldn’t we? OH, “old rabbi guys” interesting translation you’ve got. Showers of blessings on you today. love ya
