I continue today by searching for the sins of Jesus in His spiritual life.
So far I’ve looked at the private and public with no results.
Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray. Matt 19:13
It looks like He loved to pray for children.
He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” Matt 26:39
He prayed unselfishly.
Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” Matt 26:26-29
It would appear that He was looking out for others, even in death.
Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”
But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” Luke 23:39-43
It appears that the spiritual life of Jesus had no sin.
He did exactly what God wanted Him to do.
So where is this sin of Jesus that I keep talking about?
You’ll find that answer next time.
