The Name IS Jesus

This morning I found myself doing some more research on The Name.
It is Strong’s number 8034, if you are interested, and that is used all over the Old Testament beginning with Gen 2:4 where the name of the second river is Gihon;
The real name of God seems to be centered around 4 Hebrew letters, YHWH, and is pronounced Yahweh, which is probably wrong.

The Name – Hashem

I don’t know how I ended up at a Jewish website this morning but I began to read about keeping the Sabbath and how to keep a Passover that falls on the Sabbath.

Forty Days

It’s Good Friday!
I grew up believing this was the day Jesus was crucified but have since grown up, matured, and done a bit of studying rather than just believing the traditions of men.
Was this the day Jesus died? Continue reading

Not A Christian Nation But A Diverse One

Have we condemned ourselves before God or are we setting ourselves up for a great revival?
The President said in Turkey, “One of the great strengths of the United States is we have a very large Christian population — we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.”
Perhaps he is right! Continue reading
