He said, “It is finished!” John 19:30
Saturday found Mark D. and me at Daniel Springs church camp at 7am.
We were there to run computer cables through the ceiling and mount 2 video/multimedia projectors.
Before we knew it we’d been working for 5 hours.
It was 12 noon and things were and weren’t going according to plan.
Sure we got the cables run.
Yes, we got the projectors mounts up.
Why, we even ran electrical to the breaker box to power it all up.
Mark had to take off part of the metal siding on the outside of the building to run the cables down the inside of the wall to the sound booth.
We were letting nothing stop us from completing our task at hand.
That is until the projector wouldn’t recognize the computer video input.
That’ll shut you down rather quickly.
I’m sure there is a solution like an adapter or converter to go to another input but I really wanted to finish it all that day.
But I will go back when I get the correct parts and finish what was started.
It would be great if all of us took the same attitude with our Christianity.
I think we too often leave something unfinished.
We fail to pray for someone, we don’t finish telling another about salvation, or we leave some church duty undone.
So many of us are ready to meet our Savior but are we truly finished with the task He has given each of us to do.
Only after a life of service was Paul ready; the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Tim 4:6-7.
Are you finished?
