The Devil Made Me Do It (part 4)

Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. Luke 4:13
Will temptation leave you alone?
No, never!
Satan will tempt you every day; some days more than others.
This is why Jesus taught us to pray, “do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Matt 6:13
There are some preventative measures that you can take against Satan and temptation.

Pray that you may not enter into temptation. Luke 22:40

“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Eph 4:26-27

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph 6:11

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7

If you think you are standing strong, be careful, for you, too, may fall into the same sin. But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it. 1 Cor 10:12-13 NLT

God will always give you and escape out of temptation.
Jesus knew it and used it; the word of God!
“It is written” carries some powerful weight against Satan.
He cannot stand strong against the word of God.
So you must stand strong in the word of God!
