Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:17
I’m sure you’ve heard one of these sayings about the Coral snake.
“Red on yellow, kill a fellow; red on black, friend of Jack.”
“Red and Yellow, Kill a Fellow, Red and Black, Venom Lack.”
“Red on yellow, don’t be mellow; red on black, toxins they lack.”
“If red touches yellow, you’re a dead fellow; if red touches black, you’re ok jack.”
“Red yellow hear the preacher bellow. Red black that little snake sure does lack.”
“Red touch yellow, death says hello. Black touch red, keep your head.”
There are many variations of the same saying and all of them basically mean the same thing.
That’s not true when it comes to God’s word!
There have been many variations of translation with the scriptures, some to the extent that it changes and makes void the power of God’s word.
It is written, he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. Jer 23:28
Faithfully does not come by changing the meaning.
So many books and false teachings are taken as gospel.
As for the writers of these books, They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips. Ps 140:3
Their words aren’t the truth but are taken as such because it sounds God-like, it sounds scriptural.
But these teachers and writers are changing God, who has said, “I am the LORD, I do not change.” Mal 3:6
They fit God into a box of their own design and make Him empty and powerless.
The Bible is the only true word of God.
Jesus tells us, “If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.” John 8:52
