Doubt And Deception – part 3

Doubt is a faith killer!
If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you (Matt 17:20) then the slightest doubt will keep that mountain in place.
But God is someone that works through your doubt to teach faith.
Peter truly doubted his ability to walk on water but he did it.
Even though he began to sink, God worked through that indecisiveness to teach faith.
Jairus had the faith to visit Jesus, where he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. Luke 8:41-42
As they all traveled to his home the word came that she had died.
End of story?
When Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” Luke 8:50
Each of us will believe in miracles at the most disastrous times.
Jairus continued to travel home with Jesus where the little girl was then resurrected.
Satan would have to not believe any of this.
The Bible is a book of stories and fables, not too different from bedtime stories like Little Red Riding Hood or The Three Little Pigs.
And if you believe in God then he would ask, “Has God indeed said…” (Gen 3:1) to cast a weed of doubt in your field of faith.
I like what Jesus said to Jairus…ONLY BELIEVE!
