I haven’t heard this much news without a celebrity dying.
Then again, it looks like one has killed a part of his life.
I’m talking about Tiger Woods.
He has certainly done a great injustice to himself, his wife, kids, and those that supported him.
There has always been infidelity among celebrities, that’s not to say that all celebrities have indulged.
You probably have seen some movie star and thought how handsome he is or how beautiful she is.
It’s the same in the music industry, sports, and even politics.
There are often groupies and fan clubs.
But it doesn’t matter if you fall into one of those groups or not, adultery is still adultery and you know what is written; you shall not commit adultery. Ex 20:14
The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death. Lev 20:10
Well I don’t think they put people to death for adultery any more.
Or do they?
For Mr. Woods the withdrawal of TV ads and some sponsors is a type of death in that it kills his image and some income.
His adultery has killed his marriage.
Now Nike has said they are sticking by him because his act of infidelity was “no big deal.”
That throws a new twist on the Nike slogan – Just Do It.
And so I don’t think I’ll be buying a pair of Nike’s anytime soon.
To say it’s no big deal is as bad as the act itself.
It seems that we are being readied for the appearing of the Great Harlot of Revelation, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication. Rev 17:2
It will probably be “no big deal” to many!
