I’ve seen the devastation of Haiti, the poorest nation in our hemisphere.
My prayer is for the people living there.
But I fail to understand why they are so poor.
America was a land on no commerce.
When the first settlers came to this land it was not to settle into a new cushy job; it was to carve out a nation.
The U. S. has been built from the ground up to become what she has been and is today.
Why can’t other nations, like Haiti, do the same?
Someone said in church that the country of Haiti gave itself over to satanic forces years ago.
If so, then that’s a problem.
Another problem is leadership.
While the people live in shanties the presidential palace was a just that, a palace.
What a nation needs to prosper is two things; people that seek after God and leaders that seek after God.
I fear that our nation is loosing both.
Back more than 20 years ago a young couple (friends of our) won the Louisanna lottery. NINE million dollars. They live in this area. They are not …yes it’s what you’d think. I am so sorry for them. Awful people have taken advantiage of them. Their child does not appreciate what he did not have to labor for. Yes in the begianning of this country every one labored! That”s why this cpuntry became so great. People were thankful to God for their strength, for their prossparity. They reconized the blessing of God on them. Today what is reconized as prossparity is money.So, the love of money (the root of evil) became god. Yes our country is in big trouble. God told Abram if He found 10 righeous He would spare the city. With hard times on us it is easier to find a righteous person in a public place. There are righteous people, praying people scattered thoughout our land. But, we’re out nunbered, and God did say the end would be like this. As God worked with each of us to bring us into knowledge of Christ, so He does everyone else. They choose who they want to serve. The delusion is that more money is the answer.
