Morning Thoughts From Pastor Tim

I am a believer in Climate Change!
Areas of Texas had below freezing temperatures a week and a half ago.
I saw the thermometer hit 11 degrees for the first time and I’ve been living in this house for 25 years.
Puddles of water froze and remained that way for days.
Pipes burst in homes.
Cars wouldn’t start.
It was the coldest winter weather in a quarter century.
Then last night there were thunderstorms, hail, and several tornadoes in the same areas that experience the freezing temperatures.
From freezing winter to stormy Spring in a week and a half and yet the calendar says it’s late January.
There must be something to this Climate Change we’re always hearing about.
I believe in it!
That’s only because there is evidence of it in the Bible.
Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do: The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads are seven years; the dreams are one. And the seven thin and ugly cows which came up after them are seven years, and the seven empty heads blighted by the east wind are seven years of famine. This is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do. Indeed seven years of great plenty will come throughout all the land of Egypt; but after them seven years of famine will arise, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine will deplete the land. So the plenty will not be known in the land because of the famine following, for it will be very severe. And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. Gen 41:25-32
Everybody went from 7 years of great weather, warm days and cool nights, seasonal rains, and mild winters; then suddenly there are 7 years of no rain, cold nights and days, cloudiness, and generally poor weather for planting and growing.
As a result there was no harvest for 7 years.
It had little to do with cutting down trees and firing up coal plants; but it had more to do with the hand of God.
