New Every Morning (And Sometimes The Evening)

I didn’t get to read my Bible this morning, or prayer time, or get to write a Morning Thought.
I got up, got dressed, and out the door I went, all around 4am, with an off-air emergency that needed tending.
I feel bad when I get thrown out of my routine of worship and study.
For me the morning is the best time; my mind is fresh, the house is quiet, and the day is new.
Besides, through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning! Lam 3:22-23
Sitting here catching up tonight I read where Abraham also liked to worship God in the morning; And Abraham went early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the LORD. Gen 19:27
But that wasn’t always the case.
So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Gen 21:14
So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. Gen 22:3
So I guess it doesn’t matter that I was rushed out the door before I was really ready.
God was with me all day and I felt His new compassion for me this morning.
