Morning Thoughts was very, very late yesterday, as I didn’t have time to do it in the morning.
This morning is much better.
I found a verse that is so wonderful.
It tells us that God hears us, no matter what time we cry out to Him. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice. Ps 55:17
I think we can call on God when we need Him the most, in a time of duress, stress, trouble, or temptation. It happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. 2 Sam 11:2
David should have taken advantage of being able to call on God in the evening.
He would have saved himself quite a bit of trouble. So they took the bull which was given them, and they prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying, “O Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice; no one answered. 1 Kings 18:26
They covered both morning and noon.
Their time would have been better spent calling upon the name of Jesus!
Take time to call upon the name of the Lord today, no matter what time it is.
