What Do You Look Like?

Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him. Ex 34:29
Do you know what you look like?
I recall a couple of Sunday’s ago; I had shaved my head, showered, and got ready for church.
After church Linda wanted to see the side of my head because there was a dark spot.
I had missed a patch of hair and so I had an outcropping that was about a ¼ inch longer than the rest of it.
Did everyone see that?
How embarrassing!
We’ve all passed by a mirror to see something stuck in our teeth, a shirt buttoned crooked, or two different colored socks.
We often forget what we look like or that our looks change with the passing day.
When he came off the mountain, Moses didn’t know he was glowing from being in the presence of God.
But everyone else knew it.
Everyone was afraid of him and avoided him, even his own brother.
They did not realize that the presence of God was resting on him.
They only saw a glowing face and were afraid.
How others perceive you is often different than how you perceive yourself or how you believe others think about you.
My tone can be harsh and sharp and you may think I’m angry when I’m actually not.
My prayer is that others will see me living for Jesus without me really realizing it.
My other prayer is that I won’t think I’m living for Jesus when I really am not!
