Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion

“How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?” Ex 16:28
Yesterday I kept posting the same status on Facebook; Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. ~First Amendment to the US Constitution.
I think the Founding Fathers wisely added this to the basic document of our nation.
And still you will find politicians and judges side-stepping the words to restrict the free expression of religion.
While I do not think the Founders were thinking about Wiccans, Transcendentalism, Islam, and Buddhism when these words were written, I am lenient enough to give them protection under the 1st Amendment.
I am not so conservative that I do not believe that these words afford all religions free expression of their belief.
Now that they are allowed to practice and make followers, I end up with the same freedom to share my faith about the Lord Jesus Christ.
Do I want a Islamic symbol right beside the nativity scene on the courthouse square?
Not really; so in order to prevent that we must share our faith of the truth in Jesus.
It seems our government is determined to side step the Constitution, perhaps destroy and do away with it, and rid itself of the one true God.
Christianity is placed on the back burner with no regard to how we may be offended, while others are regarded very well as to “not offend” them.
While our government continues to hypocritically dance around the constitution, there is one law, one way they cannot get rid of and that’s the commandments and laws of God.
His authority is greater than any king, czar, dictator, president, or judge; He who is the blessed and only Potentate , the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. 1 Tim 6:15-16
