It has rolled around again and this time it only took 1 year.
Last night as we were lying in bed, I asked Linda, “What were we doing 31 years ago this evening?”
Her reply was “Not lying in bed together!”
That’s the truth.
I told her, “Yep! But after the next night that all changed and we’ve been lying in bed together ever since.”
That’s the way we were raised and, I might add, it was the right way.
The Bible says marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled. Heb 13:4
Today there are so many just living together; men and women, men with men, and women with women.
We laugh at the situations created by such living arrangements when it comes on the television and the actors will all receive an Emmy for best situation comedy of the year.
But the scripture needs to be finished; Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Heb 13:4
There is no need for someone like me to judge someone else that is committing fornication or adultery.
It’s very clear; God will judge.
Those that cohabitate are missing out on the greatest blessing of all!
Because the Bible also says he who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the LORD. Prov 18:22
I have that!
I want others to have it too!
So does God or He wouldn’t have said it.
This isn’t exactly the anniversary message I had in mind but that’s the way it turns out sometimes.
I am so happy and blessed to have laid in my undefiled bed for the past 31 years with the wife of my youth (and my old age), Linda.
