Paul understood healing and sickness.
He understood joy and misery.
He understood grace and pain.
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor 12:7-10
Does God want you to be healed?
I believe He does!
Was Paul healed of this “thorn”?
Absolutely! He said he took pleasure in the infirmity.
The healing didn’t manifest itself in the physical but in the spiritual.
Paul also said, “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil 4:11-13
Paul became content in whatever state and wherever God wanted him.
So for the rest of us I must say to seek prayer, be anointed, seek the elders, and always live in God’s grace.
Because Abraham believed God righteousness was acounted to him. Probable he did not have a deeper understanding of God than any of us. I don’t always understand, but I do know that even infirmitys will bow & confess Christ is Lord! So, I tell my infirmitys I AM HEALED! Pain can just go ahead and bow to Christ now. I am healed. I do not own infirmitys nor pain. They do visit now & then. I am still housed in a body of flesh.
