Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.
Children born to a young man are like sharp arrows in a warrior’s hands. How happy is the man whose quiver is full of them! Ps 127:3-5 NLT
Well, I don’t have a quiver full, only 2, Lindsey and Kimberly.
Kimberly, my youngest, turned 26 on Saturday.
I found a picture of her when she was 6 years old and posted it on Facebook.
6 years old! That was 20 years ago. Where has the time gone?
When that picture was taken I was a young dad of only 33.
While digging through the pictures I came upon another one of my best friend in high school, Steve Barnett and me.
It was probably taken around 1976 or 77. I was around 19.
Where has the time gone?
Many of you understand what I am saying.
For the young; you have your entire life before you but very soon you will ask the same thing!
The Bible is correct when it says For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. James 4:14
Job realized the brevity of this life and made the comment, “Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue.” Job 14:1-2
Each of us has only one pass through this life to make a difference.
And this is the promise that He has promised us — eternal life. 1 John 2:25
I choose to make a difference eternally by sharing Jesus with those I know.
You can make a difference too and time is running out as the return of Jesus gets closer and closer.
Of what importance is ones life? What causes us to think we have to do something realy big, or touch many lives before we are imporant? If Christ would have done what He did for one person, then our touching one persons life is of great importance. RIGHT?!!! Oh that people could see their importance in their neighborhood, church, nation. Most of all in their familys. Each individaul contributes to the over all strength on the family unit first. God help us not be decived.
