Each of us like a good night’s sleep!
By seeing who did what and when they did it on Facebook, I have discovered that the good night’s sleep comes at different times for each.
I’m an early riser; up usually at 4:30am and no later than 5am.
The other night I discovered the iPhone sound alerts for those that comment on my Facebook status.
I turned it on and at 2 in the morning turned it off as it woke me up because someone was commenting on my status.
I’m sound asleep and they are wide awake!
Linda and I have been known to be in bed by 7:30pm during the school year.
One of my coworkers has talked about being up til midnight or 1am.
And yet we work at the same place.
Jesus said, “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Matt 24:42-44
Peter reiterated the same thought with the Lord will come as a thief in the night. 2 Peter 3:10
And Paul; you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 1 Thess 5:2
When the trumpet sounds and the Lord Jesus returns, I don’t care if I’m sound asleep or wide awake.
I’m glad it’s one alarm and notification I cannot turn off.
And whether I’m asleep and you’re awake or the other way around, if we both know Jesus as Savior we will both end up in the same place!
