Fast Attitude

Attitude, attitude, attitude!
That’s what I am working on because that is what bugs me the most about myself.
Sure, I can blame others for the way I feel about them, about what they say, and about how they act, but I don’t have control over them; I do, or should, have control over me!
Though the context may be a little different than my subject, it will still suffice when the Word tells us give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 1 Cor 7:5
Fasting and prayer can help with my self-control.
This combination is used by Jesus when his disciples found themselves without the ability to cast out a demon.
Jesus assured them that their faith is a key but that “this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Matt 17:21
Could it be that prayer and fasting can rid me of my own demons?
I believe it can; the demons of my own making that plague my mind, my mouth, and my attitude.
Ezra sought help from God for the right way; we fasted and entreated [prayed to] our God for this, and He answered our prayer. Ezra 8:23
I believe in fasting and prayer, though I must admit that it has been a while since I combined both.
If I am to allow God to change my attitude, then I must change my attitude toward fasting and prayer!
