High School Reunion – You're Being Accused

In the 4th grade my teacher was Mrs. Flynt.
She was already an elderly lady by the time I showed up with all my classmates.
I liked her okay.
One day she lost it; she got so mad at Devohn Powell that she yelled something at him, picked up a ruler, and headed his way.
However in her haste she slipped and fell to the floor.
When she got up she was holding her arm and saying, “Now look what you made me do!”
The next day or two, she came back to class with a cast on her broken arm.
I found out last Saturday night at my 35th high school reunion that Susan thought I was the culprit.
Susan is one of the few that made the journey with me from Highlands Elementary to Ross Sterling High School.
I was able to convince her that I was not the guilty party.
Susan and Mrs. Flynt are the least of my troubles.
I have an enemy that does nothing but accuse me.
It is written, then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. Rev 12:10
Satan continuously accuses me before God!
I have more bad news; he accuses you too.
But there is good news; we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2
An advocate is one that pleads on behalf of another.
So while Satan is making accusations against you; Jesus is there pleading for you, if you know Him as Savior.
The act of propitiation means Jesus satisfies God’s requirement for the atonement, the forgiveness of sin.
When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you are covered and protected against the accusations of Satan.
It also gives you an arsenal against the fiery darts that others may throw your way when you’re accused in your Christianity.
