Yesterday’s Morning Thought was about distraction.
Continuing with that theme, a local news story reports that a 20-year old man has been charged with criminally negligent homicide.
Authorities report that he was texting and driving when his vehicle slammed into a stalled 18-wheeler.
His girlfriend was riding with him at the time, but was not wearing her seatbelt and later died from her injuries.
This may be a first, where someone is going to be tried for homicide due to texting.
Now what about the distractions in your life?
What could you be on trial for?
Distractions will keep you from keeping your heart and mind on Jesus.
Think about this; you’re too busy to share your faith or too distracted to live as a Christian.
Revelation reveals that the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Rev 21:8
If you are too distracted, too ashamed, too busy then you have a part in the lake of fire; THEM!
They are there because of the sin they’ve committed but you never warned them.
Ezekiel was told when I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Ezek 3:18
Why would someone not warn another of danger?
Too distracted and too busy!
Will your distraction lead to the death of someone else?
Slow down and take time to share the most wonderful news in the world to the world.
It could save a life!
