Yesterday evening I became very industrious and creative.
I manufactured 2 window screens for the house!
A year or two ago, I bought the items required to make my own screens.
Since that time the material has sat out in the barn gathering dust.
But this cool weather has me hankering for open windows and fresh air.
Having never done this before, it took me an hour to do the first one; sort of trial and error.
The second did not take as long.
I installed them and they fit perfectly; and with the windows open we enjoyed the evening air.
As I came in the house from finishing my work, Linda said to me, “The ox is slow…”
I laughed and finished the quote, “…but the earth is patient!”
That quote comes from the 1983 movie High Road To China starring Tom Selleck and Bess Armstrong.
It deals with patience and endurance.
As I often say to Linda, “I’m not lazy, I’m just slow.”
Patience is something we all need especially when it comes to the Lord.
David said, “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him.” Ps 37:7
And “I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry.” Ps 40:1
Very little is said about patience in the Old Testament but the New is loaded with it including let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:4
It has been said that patience and diligence, like faith, remove mountains.
This is the importance of patience.
If I am correct, the movie was taken from a book by Pearl S Buck. I had the great pleasure of reading the book around the time I turned 16.
I never correlated Chinese proverbs to God but I do appreciate your doing so.
Blessings

Patience and love, those are realy big ones! Right now what is for most to me is ” a soft word” turning anger away. I have to say it works every time. And it is I who needs to grasp it fully. O, I’m showing you an eye beam. Now you have to pray for me. BYE
