Prayer, Patience, Praise!

I was agitated but I didn’t stress out over it; there was nothing I could do!
Yesterday during our first day of the fundraiser, our phones were not able to push any overload calls to a call center.
This was supposed to be up and working by 6am yesterday morning but, alas, it wasn’t!
As soon as 8am rolled around I called the phone company and began a day long ordeal.
They first told me it couldn’t work and I told them it did in April; they agreed.
They worked on it all day, calling me numerous times to test it, to no avail.
A few times I was live-on-air when they called and had to have someone fill in for me while I took care of business.
The 3 o’clock hour rolled around and I was scheduled to get off the air and work at 4.
The Telco must have called at least 4 times during that hour to get me to take our phones off the hook so they could test the line.
This would prevent anyone from calling in with a pledge since they would get a busy signal.
Finally at 15 minutes before 4 they called again; I busied out the phones again only this time it worked!
Praise God!
After yesterday’s Thought on patience I guess I needed to exercise a little bit of it.
What I also realize, and I hope you will too, is that stress changes nothing.
You already know that the Bible says to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Phil 4:6
I will admit that I had not prayed about it until around 3:40 that afternoon and within 5 minutes it was done!
I learn a lesson from God every day and you will too if you keep your mind and heart open to Him.
I love what the NLT says in Ps 119:143; As pressure and stress bear down on me,
I find joy in your commands.
I believe God says to us, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.”
Ps 32:8
What have I learned?
Prayer, patience, praise!
