Extreme Christianity

You may have seen the program, though I don’t know why anyone would watch. When that many people start talking at the same time you can’t understand any of them.
It’s the reason I stopped listening to Shaun Hannity on the radio; but today I’m talking about The View.
Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly was the guest.
In a contentious discussion O’Reilly deemed the Ground Zero Mosque “inappropriate” due to its proximity to the site of the 9-11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City, saying: “”Muslims killed us on 9-11.”
At this point, Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Behar walked out in protest.
O’Reilly later corrected to say “Muslim extremists.”
What constitutes an “extremist”?
Dictionary.com defines an extremist as a supporter or advocate of extreme doctrines or practices.
Sharia Law (Islamic Law) seems to be pretty extreme to me and so any one that adheres to it could be a Muslim extremist.
What would a Christian extremist be defined as?
Certainly when they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4), that was extreme!
When a one of the church women died, Peter put them all out, and knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. Acts 9:40
Another extreme!
How about when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand. So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.” But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm. Acts 28:3-6
Again, that’s extreme.
This is what Christianity is all about; and extreme change in your life.
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:9-10
Extreme Christianity!
