His Return Predicted

If you have not heard or seen a billboard, a new prediction for the return of Jesus is at hand.
Harold Camping of Family Radio, Inc, has set the date for May 21, 2011.
In the late 70’s and early 80’s I used to listen to the teachings of Harold Camping on radio.
Even then there was something in my spirit that did not agree with all he had to say.
His arrival of this date comes from the belief that the flood of Noah took place in 4990 B. C., which is almost 7000 years ago.
The Bible says that in the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Gen 7:11
Mr. Camping is declaring that the next judgment will begin with the rapture on the 17th day of the 2nd month (Jewish), which is May 21, 2011 (Gregorian calendar).
I will agree on this one point: Jesus is returning!
However I don’t agree with the date.
As you may know by now, I lean toward the fulfilling of another Jewish feast.
Jesus having fulfilled Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, and Pentecost is now set to fulfill Yom Teruah or the Feast of Trumpets.
Will it be the next one, September 28, 2011?
Or will it be the one after that; September 16, 2012?
I cannot tell but I believe it could be either of those dates.
I may know the day but not the date or the hour.
I make no prediction as to the exact date of His return but He is returning.
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Rev 22:20

  1. I do believe His return is very near. I trust Jesus. His word says He’ll let His prophets before doing a thing. God chooses the time He’ll tell. So Ill watch for Him & listen also.
