The Truck Racist!

I was getting my oil changed yesterday when an elderly man drove his truck behind mine and got out.
As he waited for a free bay, he began talking to me.
“They don’t make those little trucks anymore!” he said indicated towards my Tundra, “That’s an awful big one there!”
“Yes sir” I replied, “but I like it!”
“You do? It’s the wrong kind for me! It’s from the wrong country” he said.
I couldn’t believe it!
I had finally met one; a Truck Racist!
Was he actually bigoted against my ride just because he thought it was from another country?
I informed him my Toyota truck was born in Texas, as indicated by the sticker on the back window.
It didn’t matter to him; “I fought those *expletive* and don’t want anything they have to offer!”
Truth is, he fought in the Korean War and not WWII against the Japanese.
In the remainder of our conversation I told him we’re buying our oil from Islamic nations, most of our goods are made in China, most of the TV’s and electronics are made in Japan, and there are very few American made goods.
I could have gone further and told him that Jesus was Jewish but didn’t.
There is no room for hatred and prejudice in our world but it is filled with it.
There is certainly no room for it in Christianity but it, too, is filled with it.
It is written, so you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have been made like him. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are all Christians — you are one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and now all the promises God gave to him belong to you. Gal 3:26-29 NLT
What if God thought that East Texans weren’t worthy of salvation?
Or was prejudiced against those from the northern states?
We would all be in a fine mess if God was a racist.
But God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
