I went to a Lufkin restaurant yesterday afternoon with some of the radio station gang.
Our waitress listens regularly and asked why I was on early the last few mornings.
I told her that I was filling in for Al and Michelle, who are on vacation.
Also that they would be back the next week but then I would be filling in for them again for 2 more weeks.
She said that she really loves the station and is really happy to be able to put faces with all the voices she hears.
Then she told me that she thought my voice was special and unique.
I couldn’t help but laugh a bit and I kept saying, “Special and unique” to everything.
“I deserve a vacation because I’m special and unique!”
“They should give me a raise because I’m special and unique!”
“I think I’ll go home and let Linda know that her husband is special and unique!”
While I did have some good sport poking fun at myself over it, I realize that the statement is true; not only about me but also about you!
It is written that you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 1 Cor 12:27
Being an individual makes you unique in God’s family.
Plus Eph 2:8 says that God saved you by his special favor when you believed. NLT
His special favor on you makes you special!
You are unique and special to God; so special that He gave His only Son for you.
