“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matt 1:23
Do you think that perhaps every young Jewish girl thought that she might be the chosen one?
I’m sure, as with us, there were many skeptics in the land when God fulfilled this promise.
We know it had to be hard for Mary’s mom and dad to believe her story and it took an angel to convince Joseph. If the people that love you won’t believe you then how will those that don’t know and love you believe?
Today we are faced with the same scenario; Jesus is coming again.
I fully believe in what is written where the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thess 4:16-18
In this 2nd coming He is again looking for a virgin.
It is written for I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 2 Cor 11:2
Of course there are the skeptics, just as there were skeptics at the birth of Jesus.
I’ve personally been told that the rapture is a deception of the
Anti-Christ and that anyone ‘caught up’ is being caught up in this deception.
I don’t want to be like the Herod’s and scribes of old, when Jesus was born; I want to be looking with expectation for His return.
And I am!
Are you?
