What A Wonderful Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas!
It started with my children and grand-children being home with Linda and me.
Linda is a wonderful cook and had pre-planned the menu for the week; chili, roast, ham, gumbo, pies, cakes, candies, coffee, and tea.
Christmas eve we gather, eat, and open gifts.
Christmas Day we gather, eat, and enjoy each others company.
Our activity included a big bonfire in the cold night.
Then we retired to the living room where we played games on the new Wii that Haylee and Braeden have.
My uncle, aunt, and cousin joined us and brought a feast of 10 lbs of boiled shrimp.
With all the family and all the festivities, the part I enjoyed the most was seeing so many post scripture and Merry Christmas well-wishes on Facebook earlier Christmas morning.
There were reminders from many that it is the celebration of Jesus’ birth;
So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger , because there was no room for them in the inn.
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:6-12
Though Christmas is once again over, the truth of His coming isn’t!
He came into this world to save us.
And He is coming back again to take us, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3
Let the celebration of the Savior continue!
