A Florida man is spending a month living in a fenced enclosure with two African lions.
He is hoping the stunt will raise money for his wildlife center.
Last Saturday, he entered the lion’s den; he is going to sleep on hay near the lions named Lea and Ed and eat when they eat.
His adventure is being streamed live online through January 31.
I’ve watched the streaming video and the lion’s are somewhat tame or at least accustomed to people.
He was walking around playing with them while talking on a cell phone.
Of course the lion’s are well fed and he has a staff around to help if needed.
That’s a far cry from what happened to Daniel.
Remember how he was framed for praying and sentence to a lion’s den.
After being there a whole night, the king hurried to the den early in the morning to see how things turned out.
As he cried out to Daniel, he got this reply; Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions ‘ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” Dan 6:21-22
You have a lion after you and you must deal with him each day; Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 1 Peter 5:8-9
You’re living with a lion. Resist him and stand fast in your faith. You can do it!
