Life is full of surprises!
An anniversary or birthday party, a raise in salary, a bouquet of flowers, a marriage proposal, or the sudden death of a loved one.
Last night’s American Idol was a surprise.
At the beginning of the show Ryan said something about the shocking ending of who is going home.
I told Linda it would only be a shocker if Pia went home.
In my opinion, there are certainly less talented individuals on the program, though not by much.
I was not surprised that Stephano was in the bottom 3; I was not surprised, too much, that Jacob joined him; I was surprised when Pia joined them.
Then the announcement came that she was going home.
The judges were shocked, the audience was shocked, and Facebook was shocked.
But surprises are a part of life.
I remember something Rachel Lynde said from Anne of Green Gables, that you’re never safe from surprises til you’re dead.
I’m not so sure about that even though the Bible says, “Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to judgment.” John 5:28-29 NLT
Hopefully you have read the Bible enough or heard enough sermons so you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. 1 Thess 5:4 NLT
It’s inevitable that someone will be surprised; surprised that God is real, surprised that Jesus is the Messiah – the Savior of the world.
They’ll be surprised by the Judgment and the penalty for sin.
Surprised, even though all these things are told us by God through His word.
Don’t be caught off guard; don’t let your family and friends be caught off guard.
Share the message about Jesus.
You may be surprised by their response!
This is amazing! I know it may not be much to you, but this information just… I don’t even know! Amazing… 🙂
