The owner of the motel is of a far-Eastern religion; Hindu or Buddhist, I’m not sure which.
Needless to say, he is a vegetarian and the breakfast menu reflects that.
One of the workers at the motel told me that it took quite a step for him to add eggs to the menu, but what I need is bacon, sausage, or ham; some other type of protein.
I can only imagine how the man feels; I can also influence others with my belief in Christ.
Now I don’t think this man is a bad man; he is following what he believes.
There are plenty of Christians that are also vegans.
I was told how generous he is at helping others.
That’s also a good trait.
He runs a clean motel with a beautiful flower garden surrounding it, which is meticulously taken care of.
I have no problem with any of these things.
But I’m not the absolute and final word on all things.
It is written that the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Gal 5:19-21
Anyone can appear to be as “good as gold” and be harboring all kinds of these things in their private life.
There are so many religions in the world that have followers working themselves into a heaven.
The works of the flesh won’t allow that to happen; there is no way a sinful creature can overcome the iniquities of time.
What everyone needs is a savior!
And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:14-15
Reconciliation to God is not done through good works but by faith in what Jesus has already done for you!
AMEN there is none other!
