Dressing appropriately is an important part of Christian growth.
What one wears can determine how one is treated or thought of.
In addressing the church, the Apostle said that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel. 1 Tim 2:9
Now we can’t place the responsibility on just the women.
The preceding verse is given to men and can only go along with the following since the phrase “in like manner” is used before Paul addressed the dress code of women.
The preceding verse says I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; 1 Tim 2:8
Perhaps if more men prayed and praised there would be more godliness in the home and outside the home.
Praying and praising husbands would be satisfied with what God has given them in a wife and would not stray outside the marriage to find some sexual gratification.
The intimacy between a husband and wife is blessed by the Lord.
It is written of this relationship that marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled. Heb 13:4
Praying and praising husbands and dads would be the spiritual leaders in their homes and would rear the children to modestly respect their bodies.
Praying and praising men would seek to avert their eyes from that which would tempt them.
Praying and praising men would be less apt to have pre-marital sex.
Praying and praising men would treat women with respect.
What if all men sought God over all other things?
The porn industry would go bankrupt and out of business.
God and prayer would be introduced back into the everyday life of school, business, and government.
Children would grow up with stability in the home.
America would be prosperous again under the blessings of God.
Let the men return to God and the women and children will follow!
