Common side effects are…

It seems that every drug on the market has some adverse side effects.
I was reading about Prednisone, which is a steroid that is used to treat many different conditions such as allergic disorders, skin conditions, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, or breathing disorders. Prednisone prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation.
It has quite a list of possible side effects though; difficulty sleeping; feeling of a whirling motion; increased appetite; increased sweating; indigestion; mood changes; nervousness.
I know someone that had to be on it for a while and they had a very increased appetite.
There are many others drugs that carry just as serious side effects.
There is a side effect to accepting Jesus as Savior, though the effects are most welcomed.
Jesus said, “I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life.” John 5:24
Other side effects; Eph 1:7 – In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
Rom 8:38-39 – neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
James 5:16 – Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
It would seem the side effects of becoming a Christian are benefits worth having; and I only scratched the surface.
And Jesus is very addicting; John 10:28-29 – I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
So go ahead and give your life to Jesus.
You’ll find it very rewarding.
