My Ruined Day Is Going Good!

So Haman went out that day joyful and with a glad heart; but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, and that he did not stand or tremble before him, he was filled with indignation against Mordecai. Esther 5:9
Have you ever had your day ruined by one person?
Why is that?
How can just one person destroy your day?
It’s because you let them!
I know your day can have a little ripple in it because someone backs into your car or makes some obscene gesture at you; but what about someone ruining your day by doing nothing?
This is the case with Haman.
He did not become “filled with indignation” by something Mordecai did, but by what Mordecai didn’t do.
Can you imagine being so full of yourself that your whole day is wrecked because someone didn’t do something?
I have actually known people, in church, that after the sermon and service they could do nothing but complain about what someone did during the service, what they wore, or that they didn’t speak to them.
They have missed the whole point of going to the house of God because, instead of worshipping Jesus, they’re watching other people.
The praise and worship had no affect on them; the words of the sermon and the very reading of God’s word was like water on a duck’s back; it just rolled off!
But as much as we let another ruin our day, there is Another that can make it.
For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Rom. 5:19
If you will keep your eyes and mind on Jesus, He will make your day.
They confronted me in the day of my calamity but the LORD was my support. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me. Ps. 18:18, 19
